Film: Wonder (Thursday Evening)

The Grand presents a weekend of two of the best of the recent PG-rated films all playing on the Coastal Eye Care Screen beginning on Thursday, March 22nd at 7:00pm and Saturday, March 24th at 11:00am with the hit film adapted from one of this past year’s Young Adult best-sellers “Wonder!” Based on the New York Times bestseller, the film tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out. At the Thursday and Saturday screenings, there’ll be copies of the book “Wonder” on sale in the lobby from Blue Hill Books.
