Classical Concert
The musicians of the Essex Piano Trio have, since 2017, performed throughout coastal New England in an audience-friendly concert format of interesting music interspersed with casual commentary. This Conversation among Friends explores the world of Ravel and Friends, a fascinating soundscape of the first decades of the 20th century. EPT plays music by Maurice Ravel and his close friends Igor Stravinsky, Germaine Tailleferre, and Ralph Vaughan Williams – neo-baroque suites, folksongs and amazing piano trios – that define the music of this era.
