You’re invited to develop a greater understanding of what it’s like to live with dementia by taking the Island Nursing Home and Care Center’s free Virtual Dementia Tour.
The 20-minute experience is recommended for caregivers, family members and anyone who wants to learn more about dementia.

Island Nursing Home is the only facility in the area that provides the tour. It was developed by P.K. Beville, M.S., an award-winning geriatric specialist and the founder of Second wind Dreams®, a nonprofit committed to changing the perception of aging.
After they’ve taken the tour, many people use phrases such as “eye opening” and “a game changer” to describe the experience
“I wished that I had taken it 20 years earlier,” says INH Board Member Bob Lasky. “The knowledge I gained would have helped me to understand my mother, and her Alzheimer’s, so much better.”
