DESCRIPTION:You're invited to develop a greater understanding of what it's 
 like to live with dementia by taking the Island Nursing Home and Care Cent
 er’s free Virtual Dementia Tour.\n\nThe 20-minute experience is recommen
 ded for caregivers\, family members and anyone who wants to learn more abo
 ut dementia.\nIt will be offered throughout the day on July 14 and 15. To

 ility in the area that provides the tour. It was developed by P.K. Beville
 \, M.S.\, an award-winning geriatric specialist and the founder of Second 
 wind Dreams®\, a nonprofit committed to changing the perception of aging.
 \n\nAfter they've taken the tour\, many people use phrases such as “eye 
 opening” and “a game changer” to describe the experience\n\n“I wis
 hed that I had taken it 20 years earlier\,” says INH Board Member Bob La
 sky. “The knowledge I gained would have helped me to understand my mothe
 r\, and her Alzheimer’s\, so much better.”
