Two day workshop covering home slaughter and processing of pigs.
Day 1 Blue Hill Itinerant Slaughter will show techniques of humane on-farm slaughter, scalding, scraping and dressing. 9am-2pm
Day 2 Trained butcher Sarah Tompkins will teach breaking down the pig into cuts, render lard, sausage, smoking/curing bacon. 9am-4pm
$100 Covers both days with lunch.
Slaughter day will be at Strong Brewing Co. Sedgwick
Break Down will be at The Halcyon Grange Blue Hill
