The Blue Hill Public Library invites kids ages 8 and up to join the “Inklings” Book and Movie Club on Saturday February 24th at 2:00 PM. Inklings explores stories of clever children who use their wits to overcome insurmountable odds. This month the group will read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, and watch the movie based on the book.
Libby, the library’s children’s librarian says, “Make the journey to the library to munch on snacks while we watch the adventure unfold! Afterward we will discuss the book and film while we make a peculiar craft you won’t want to miss.” Books from the series are available now, so interested kids can stop by and check one out.
“Inklings” welcomes kids of all ages, with a suggested age range of 8 and up. The books and movies the group reads and watches together cover a wide range of subjects and styles, and the library encourages families to research them in advance and decide which are right for each child.
