6/2/2018
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Blue Hill Public Library
5 Parker Point Rd, Blue Hill, ME, 04614

Ann Luther of the League of Women Voters Downeast will host an information session about ranked choice voting and what voters need to know for the upcoming June 12 primary election, at the Blue Hill Public Library on Saturday June 2nd at 2:00 PM. She will also answer any questions that people have about the process.

Maine will be the first state in the nation to use ranked choice voting in a statewide primary election. Based on the candidates who have qualified for the ballot, there will be ranked choice voting in these races: the Republican and Democratic primaries for Governor, the Democratic primary for the 2nd Congressional District and one Republican primary for State Representative District 75.
Ann currently serves as Treasurer of the League of Women Voters of Maine and chairs the LWVME Advocacy Committee. In her work for the League, Ann has worked for greater public understanding of public policy issues, and in 2013 she was a recipient of the Baldwin Award from the ACLU of Maine for her work on voting rights and elections.
