SUMMARY:Information Session: Ranked Choice Voting
DESCRIPTION:Ann Luther of the League of Women Voters Downeast will host an 
 information session about ranked choice voting and what voters need to kno
 w for the upcoming June 12 primary election\, at the Blue Hill Public Libr
 ary on Saturday June 2nd at 2:00 PM. She will also answer any questions th
 at people have about the process.\n\nMaine will be the first state in the 
 nation to use ranked choice voting in a statewide primary election. Based 
 on the candidates who have qualified for the ballot\, there will be ranked
  choice voting in these races: the Republican and Democratic primaries for
  Governor\, the Democratic primary for the 2nd Congressional District and 
 one Republican primary for State Representative District 75.\nAnn currentl
 y serves as Treasurer of the League of Women Voters of Maine and chairs th
 e LWVME Advocacy Committee. In her work for the League\, Ann has worked fo
 r greater public understanding of public policy issues\, and in 2013 she w
 as a recipient of the Baldwin Award from the ACLU of Maine for her work on
  voting rights and elections.\n\nThis event is sponsored by the library. I
