Julianne Taylor, education coordinator for “Explore Outdoors!” – a collaboration between Blue Hill Heritage Trust, Downeast Audubon and Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust – will be doing two events at the Blue Hill Public Library in April. First will be a special Preschool Storytime event on Tuesday April 24th at 10:30 AM, where she will read the story A Seed is Sleepy, which teaches kids about different kinds of seeds and how they grow. She will take the kids outside and they will “get their hands dirty and make a seed bomb!”

The next day, Wednesday, April 25th at 3:30 PM, Julianne will do an afterschool program – “Wiggly Worms.” Kids will learn about the different kinds of worms and their importance to ecosystems. Participants will then put together their own worm habitat, “vermicondos,” to bring home and observe how worms eat and process food waste.

These program are co-sponsored by the library and Explore Outdoors! There is no charge and everyone is welcome. For more information call the Library at 374-5515.
