6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Blue Hill Public Library
5 Parker Point Rd, Blue Hill, ME, 04614

Local programmer and self-described “tech geek” Mike Wolf will present a workshop, “Build Your Own Website or Start Your Own Blog” at the Blue Hill Public Library on Thursday, November 29th at 6:00 PM. The workshop is sponsored by the library and is free but space is limited, so registration is required, either on the library’s web calendar at www.bhpl.net or by calling the library at 374-5515. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Participants can bring their own laptops or tablets, or use one supplied by the library. When registering, participants should include in the “notes” field whether they need to borrow a computer for the workshop.

Participants will learn how to build their own website, or blog, or both, and will be able to complete their projects for free. However, if anyone wants to register for a custom domain, it costs about $12.00 a year.

Mike Wolf has lived in Blue Hill for nearly 20 years. He cofounded the “Blue Hill Hackers,” a group of tech enthusiasts and technologically curious people who meet at the library every Monday night to work together, show off cool new tech devices and apps, and answer questions from newcomers. He’s also a regular helper at the library’s Tech Tuesday Helpdesk. This event is sponsored by the library and is open to everyone.
