Bar Harbor artist and art teacher Mary Ternus will be hosting a Young Artists’ Group on two Fridays, June 8th and 15th, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Youth in grades 4 (going into 5) through high school are invited to bring their art supplies and their creativity to learn how to make the most of their chosen medium. Everyone is welcome, whether they like working in pencil, paint, charcoal, pastels, collage, found objects, or anything else. Mary will provide some art supplies, but participants are strongly encouraged to bring what they like to use.
Thanks to Friends of the Library, the program is free but space is limited to 10 spots, so registration is required. For more information or to register, check the library’s interactive web calendar at www.bhpl.net or contact the library at 374-5515.
