Blue Hill Library
5 Parker Point Road, Blue Hill, ME, 04614, Blue Hill Peninsula

In an illustrated lecture, Tim Garrity, executive director of the Mount Desert Island Historical Society, will explain how the changing names of the mountains of Acadia National Park, tell us about the time of the park’s founding, and reveal its more distant past. Garrity will reflect on the history of the park as we understand it now, and as the founders understood it a century ago.
