The 25th Anniversary of the Castine Community Bicentennial Quilt

6/15/2021
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The Castine Historical Society is hosting a Zoom talk led by three of the women who were instrumental in the design and creation of this quilt: Charleen Wiseman, Margaret Parker, and Carolyn Ulrich. Pre-registration is required.

The idea for a Castine Community Bicentennial Quilt came in 1995 to commemorate the history of the town. The result, which was unveiled in 1996 at the Castine Historical Society, was a 24-foot long quilted mural designed and quilted by over 60 community members. Each year, the quilt is on display at the Castine Historical Society and 2021 is the 25th anniversary of the quilt.
