8/30/2018
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Blue Hill Public Library
5 Parker Point Rd, Blue Hill, ME, 04614

Cryptocurrency expert Kiril Ravensong will give a presentation about the basics of cryptocurrency, an anonymous, digital medium of payment, at the Blue Hill Public Library on Thursday August 30th at 7:00 PM. Audience members are encouraged to bring a smart phone, laptop, or tablet to fully participate.

Kiril will talk about what cryptocurrency is and who uses it, as well as recent internet advances that are being used to protect wealth, transfer funds at almost no cost, conduct international trade, and allow for alternative forms of fundraising for infrastructure. In the presentation he will explore the emerging trend of small towns creating their own currencies to promote local businesses.

Kiril Ravensong is a cryptocurrency consultant. He is a Partner at No Agenda LTD. With a background in psychology and education, Kiril comes to cryptocurrency by way of a lengthy period in a Zen Buddhist monastery, where he completed his training as a lay ordained monk. This in turn paved the way for a three year period as a writer of spiritual action and science fiction films in Hollywood.

Kiril has come to the conclusion that our nation is desperately in need of “a banking system with heart,” and devotes his efforts to that end. He believes cryptocurrency can be used around the world and has tremendous potential for balancing out wealth inequity as well as building resilient foundations for local economies, food sovereignty, and nationwide self-sufficiency. This event is sponsored by the library, there is no change and everyone is welcome. For more information call the library at 374-5515.
