The Surry Garden Club invites you to join us for a discovery talk on “Moon Gardens” with Dave Hollenberg. Dave is a retired chemist, a Master Gardener Volunteer and the former President of the Surry Garden Club from 2014 – 2021.
What’s the difference between a Moon Garden and a Rock Garden? It’s not that one doesn’t have air. Find out about the amazing life of Moon Gardens – what they are, what grows there, where some of the largest “natural” Moon Gardens are and why they can be ecologically important. The talk will cover plant selection and soil/sun requirements, and introduce some of the dazzling floral encounters that are possible in a Moon Garden.
All are welcome. Come early for refreshments, which are served at 6:30. There will be a short discussion of club business before the talk.
