Rustic Leather Sketchbooks with Anna Low

Learn a decorative, accessible and infinitely varied book binding stitch, the long stitch, and make a rustic leather sketchbook. The long stitch a great binding technique to learn and master both for beginning bookbinders and experienced book artists. It can be used to bind books with paper, felted wool, cloth or just about any durable material. In this class we will focus on constructing a blank book from folding pages to punching the leather cover and binding. Students will leave class with their own bound book in addition to instructions and tools to continue making books at home.
