New members are invited to the Blue Hill Public Library’s monthly discussion group, “Readings on Race,” on Saturday December 15th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. This month, the group will be meeting at the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor at 2:00, to get a tour and discuss the work the museum is doing to decolonize their collection. Background readings will be available at the library.
Surry resident Kate Mrozicki facilitates the group. Kate is a farmer who believes in the power of difficult conversations to change our reality. She got to practice those conversations during years of working for The Food Project in Boston and now raising small children in Surry. This event is free and everyone is welcome. For more information on the readings call the library at 374-5515 or email info@bhpl.net.
