Gay Paratore invites you to have fun with pastels. In this class you will just scribble and smear; dot and streak colors to get glorious sunset skies and rippling water. Each student will pick what they want to draw/paint from the teacher’s collection of photos, primarily sunset scenes. She will demonstrate how to create glowing skies and clouds with colors reflected in the water. The students will learn the secret to keeping colors from getting muddy.

Paratore teaches all media of art and all ages. She founded the National Society of Artists in 1985 and has won numerous Best of Show and 1stPlace Awards. She is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the National Society of Artists, Watercolor Art Society of Houston, and the Texas Watercolor Society. A list of supplies will be provided with registration. Note that only non-toxic pastels will be used. $75 for members/$85 for non-members.
