Nimbus Dance Brings Electrifying Contemporary Performance to the Criterion Theatre — February 22
Bar Harbor, ME — Experience the visceral power of Nimbus Dance Works** as the acclaimed company takes the stage at the Criterion Theatre on February 22 for an unforgettable evening of contemporary dance.
This mixed repertory performance showcases the company’s range and daring. Known for fearless physicality and emotional honesty, Nimbus transforms the stage into a charged landscape where athletic prowess meets profound vulnerability.
The program features Artistic Director Samuel Pott’s iconic work Patch of Turf, an evocative allegory of humanity’s relationship with the earth, performed by four powerful female dancers around a rectangular piece of artificial grass. Also on the program is the crowd favorite The After Party by guest choreographer Dawn Marie Bazemore, set to the music of legendary jazz vocalists Nina Simone and Nancy Wilson.
