5 Parker Point Rd, Blue Hill, ME, 04614

Every Friday morning at 10:30 AM starting June 29th and going through August 24th, the Healthy Peninsula Magic Food Bus will be making a stop at the Blue Hill Public Library! Each week kids can take home fresh produce and a book. While the bus is stopped, we will read a story and have coloring pages available. The story will be geared toward ages 5 and under but anyone is welcome to come and pick up fresh produce and books.

The Magic Food Bus, initiated by Sedgwick School Librarian Margaret Bixby, will be running for its eighth season, offering free, fresh, local produce, health information, and books for children and adults. This collaborative project is run by Healthy Peninsula in collaboration with Farm Drop and Edible Island Culinary and Ecological Center for the food portion, and the Sedgwick School Library, the Deer Isle, Stonington and the Blue Hill Public Libraries for the book portion. For more information, call Libby at 374-5515.
