The Blue Hill Public Library invites kids to join the “Inklings” Book and Movie Club on Saturday, May 26th at 2:00 PM. “Inklings” explores stories of clever children who use their wits to overcome insurmountable odds. This month’s book is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling, and we will be watching the film of the same name.
According to Youth Services Librarian Libby Edwardson, “Harry faces many challenges in his fifth year at Hogwarts, from the dark threat of ‘He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named’ and the unreliability of the government of the magical world, to the rise of Ron Weasley as the keeper of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Along the way he learns about the strength of his friends, the fierceness of his enemies, and the meaning of sacrifice. The adventure continues, so grab your wands and head to the library for a magical afternoon of Harry Potter, snacks, and a craft that is riddikulus-ly cute!”
“Inklings” welcomes kids of all ages. The books and movies the group reads and watches together cover a wide range of subjects and styles, and the library encourages families to research them in advance and decide which are right for each child. For more information call Libby at 374-5515.
