The Shaw Institute is hosting a free public art exhibition opening, “Forever Ours: PFAS and Plastics,” at the Environmental Education Center in Blue Hill, Maine. The event explores the relationship between humanity and persistent materials, such as PFAS and microplastics, by combining art and science. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists and attend an insightful lecture by Dr. Charles Rolsky. Dr. Rolsky’s talk will address the complex realities of plastic pollution, including misleading greenwashing practices, as well as cutting-edge research on microplastics and the development of sustainable materials.
