On Saturday December 1st at 6:00 pm and a special captioned matinee on Sunday, December 2nd at 2 pm on the giant Coastal Eye Care screen, The Grand offers audiences a fun, family film to kick off all of its holiday programming in the month of December- “The Man Who Invented Christmas.” The movie tells of the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), Tiny Tim and other classic characters from “A Christmas Carol.” From the director of “Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day,” comes a story that shows how Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) mixed real life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure up unforgettable characters and a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today.
