Blue Hill Heritage Trust and Blue Hill Co-op are pleased to present our second farm tour of 2024 at King Hill Farm in Penobscot!
King Hill Farm is an organic, diversified, family farm in Penobscot Maine, run by Amanda Provencher and Paul Schultz. King Hill uses their own homemade compost to fertilize their fields and is the basis for their farm-made potting soil. They also make their own hay and straw for animal food and bedding and for mulching in the garden. The diversity of the farm allows it to be a relatively closed system, minimizing off-farm inputs. Paul and Amanda believe in the value of healthy soil that promotes vigor and nutrition in the plants and animals that we grow and raise here.
The farm tour is FREE, family-friendly, and open to the public.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: Please register on the events calendar on our website at bluehillheritagetrust.org
