Julianne Taylor, education coordinator for Explore Outdoors! -– a collaboration between Blue Hill Heritage Trust, Downeast Audubon and Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust – will be doing a special Preschool Storytime event on Tuesday, July 10th at 10:30 AM. She will read the story, A Puffin’s Year, by Katherine Zecca, and lead the kids in a puffin-themed craft.

Atlantic puffins are black and white seabirds with big colorful bills which nest on islands off the coast of Maine, after which they migrate out to sea. Their chicks are called “pufflings.” Kids will learn about the amazing life history of these colorful, iconic birds.

This program is co-sponsored by the library and Explore Outdoors! There is no charge and everyone is welcome. For more information call the Library at 374-5515.
