Many on the peninsula live in older homes, and while they are beautiful and full of character, they can be a chore to heat and cool during the extreme temperatures of the winter and summer. Poor insulation can lead to winter ice-dams. Excessive moisture can lead to mold year-round. Weatherizing your home may not be as hard as you might think. You could live more comfortably and lower your energy cost and environmental impact in the process. Join the Blue Hill Co-op in welcoming Dan Huisjen an energy auditor from Osher Environmental Systems. Dan, who lives in his own 170 year old Brooklin farmhouse, is especially good at identifying the projects that will provide the greatest benefits for homes built prior to 1930. Learn about energy audits, energy saving solutions and weatherization. Bring your questions. We hope to see you then.
