This chain making technique was practiced over 2 thousand years ago and can be used to make necklaces, bracelets, earrings and more. By using straight wire and pliers links can be formed and then woven together to make endless creations that can be personalized. Uniquely, this technique doesn’t demand the use of a torch or other complicated equipment. You will learn how to make Egyptian spiral links and will go home with earrings or a bracelet made of copper or brass. The cost for the workshop is $85 Woodlawn members/$95 for non-members and includes all materials. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required at https://woodlawnmuseum.com/event/egyptian-spiral-chain-class-melissa-rioux/. There is a September 21 deadline to sign up to allow time to order the material.
