Maine Weather will be the featured performers at Dolly’s Coffeehouse at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill, Saturday, May 3rd 7:00-9:00pm. Although the group has been blessed with many excellent musicians in its storied existence, one thing they’ve been told has always stayed the same – they play good music. Currently composed of Art Washburn, Kevin Poland, Laura Boege, and Paul Welsh their songs range from The Carter Family to Neil Young and just about everyone in between, as well as some originals. “Don’t like what we’re playing, then just like the weather, wait 5 minutes it’ll probably change.”
The first hour will be open mic, where anyone is welcome to perform: music, mime, poetry, dance, etc. Performers are asked to arrive a few minutes early to sign up. There will be a brief intermission with refreshments, followed by Maine Weather.
Donations benefit the Dolly Fisher Emergency Fund, which provides emergency fuel, food, clothing, and utility help for households on the Blue Hill Peninsula and informing the public about other available resources. This fun evening is for all ages and will be held downstairs in Fellowship Hall. Admission is by free will offering. FMI: contact 374-2891.
