On Thursday, September 20th at 7:30 pm and a special captioned matinee on Friday, May 21st at 1 pm, The Grand continues its weekly CineGrand series of recent well-reviewed films presented on the giant Coastal Eye Care with one of most critically acclaimed documentaries of the 21st century- “RBG.” At the age of 84, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has developed a breathtaking legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. But without a definitive Ginsburg biography, the unique personal journey of this diminutive, quiet warrior’s rise to the nation’s highest court has been largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans- until now. “RBG” is a revelatory documentary exploring Ginsburg ‘s exceptional life and career from Betsy West and Julie Cohen, and co-produced by Storyville Films and CNN Films. (2018. US. 1 hr, 36 min. Directed by Betsy West and Julie Cohen. PG.) Tickets for this General Admission presentation are $8 for Adults, $7 for Seniors/Students (15 and under) and $6 Grand Members (as well as Matinee screenings).
