This lunch and learn will go over the basic life history of these important fish, discuss why they are a keystone species to Maine, and review their story over the last 100 years or so. We will talk about specific work in alewife restoration, policy, fisheries management and the commercial fishermen and local stewards who are bringing these fish back and into the future.
