The Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library Film Series starts up again for the fall season with Stagecoach, a 1939 film directed by John Ford and starring John Wayne and Claire Trevor. Set in The American West in the late 1800s, a stage coach sets off across the untamed wilderness carrying an assortment of characters, complete with animosities, petty differences, and unexpected friendships. Their fortunes take a turn for the worse when they learn that an Apache raiding party, led by Geronimo, is in their vicinity.

All films are shown free of charge on the library’s “pretty big” screen in the Howard Room. For more information, call the library at 374-5515, or contact Michael Donahue, 374-5248 or Donahue.mg@gmail.com.
