Students will learn how to needle felt a black-and-white portrait from a photo reference of their choice. We will work from an outline transferred directly from their photo. Using merino top and a pressed felt canvas participants will create their own work of art. AliceNeedle Felted Image on wet felted background 10×10″ 1/2018Instructor Bio:Kat McClelland was born here in Bar Harbor, grew up in Pennsylvania and now lives in Western Massachusetts. She is a graduate of The Maryland Institute College of Art where she majored in ceramics but took classes in a wide range of disciplines. She is married to a fabulous woodworker and is the mother of two amazing girls. She is an art teacher for a small high school in CT and also teaches felting workshops in a variety of settings.
