Have you ever sculpted with wool? Join us as Heidi Jai shares her passion for needle felting. Needle felting is an easy to learn, inexpensive creative outlet that requires no sewing, no counting, and no measuring. The only requirement is that you let the wool speak to you…and it will. The scent of lanolin, the sound of the needle locking the fibers and the feeling of the wool compressing is a unique experience. This class is all you need to be on your way to creating wonderful Halloween little monsters or pumpkins. The cost is $40 for Woodlawn members/$50 for non-members and includes the wool, a foam pad and needle. As space is limited, pre-registration is required at https://woodlawnmuseum.com/event/beginner-needle-felting-halloween-heidi-jai-2/ . (This class uses very sharp needles. Children over 12 years of age only and accompanied by an adult, please). Heidi Jai is a local hobbyist in metalsmithing and fiber arts and loves working with beginners.
