Does your cat, dog, rabbit or horse have the right temperament to become a registered therapy animal and visit people in need in hospitals, nursing homes, schools and other settings? This presentation is designed to orient you to the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program as a way of volunteering with your pet in your community. The presentation will be led by Silent Sidekicks’ Volunteer and Pet Partners’ evaluator, Elin MacKinnon.

You will also learn:
• The ways in which therapy animal teams visit and training required.
• What animal species can be registered as therapy animals.
• The commitment and training needed for handlers.
• Steps to becoming a registered therapy animal team with Pet Partners.

This presentation is FREE to attend but you MUST register through the Pet Partners Volunteer Center prior to the workshop.
