Inspired by a history of honoring traditional skills, the Wilson Museum Artisan Market brings together today’s finest artisans from the Blue Hill Peninsula and surrounding areas offering visitors a chance to meet makers, learn about their processes, and purchase unique, handcrafted goods. The market will take place on Saturday, August 16, from 10 am to 5 pm on the lawn of the museum’s Hutchins Education Center in Castine, Maine. Food trucks will be on site and fresh bread from the museum’s bake oven will be available for sampling from 12 to 2 pm. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own picnic lunch to enjoy on the museum’s Waterfront Lawn.
