2nd Annual Janwillem van de Wetering Jazz Invitational

The Grand welcomes the 2nd Annual Janwillem van de Wetering Jazz Invitational to the Stanley Subaru Stage with free clinics for invited student musicians and their band leaders and educators. Student jazz musicians from Ellsworth, MDI, George Stevens Academy, and others will work with Alex Tremblay and other jazz artists from Newport Jazz Assembly Band and Leland Baker, Education Manager for the Newport Festivals Foundation (the producers of the Newport Folk Fest and Newport Jazz Fest.) Leland was the Guest Artist at the 1st Jazz Invitational in 2023. The day of clinics will end with a FREE concert for the community featuring The Alex Tremblay Jazz Quintet at 6:00 PM. Everyone is welcome.
