Local author Carol Leonard will share from her newest book, Bad Beaver Tales: Love and Life in Downeast Maine, at the Blue Hill Public Library on Tuesday, March 5th at 2:00 PM.
Bad Beaver Tales features “tales of extreme building, bad beaver trapping and learning the ways of the land.” In this memoir, Carol, a midwife, and her partner, “a wild, industrious French Canadian builder,” embark on building their dream homestead on 400 acres of wilderness in Downeast Maine. The results are poignant, educational and most often hilarious.
Carol Leonard is a writer and licensed beaver trapper. She wrote for the Bangor Daily News on her blog of the same name. She is the author of the best-selling memoir, Lady’s Hands, Lion’s Heart: A Midwife’s Saga.
