Sow Dry Seed Workshop for Pierces Pond Plant Restoration
Join the SEED Barn & Blue Hill Heritage Trust for their 2nd Annual collaborative workshop on sowing native seed. BHHT and the SEED Barn are working with the Penobscot Alewife Committee to reestablish native plants at the newly restored fish passageway and outdoor classroom at Pierces Pond in Penobscot. This workshop will help create plugs of native shrubs and grasses to help restore that landscape.
Participants will be instructed on how to sow dry seed to create plugs for their own landscape, and invited to sow dry seed to take home as well as encouraged to leave some sowed seed for restoration at Pierces Pond and other BHHT sites.
