CineGrand Film: Dunkirk (Wednesday Matinee)

The Grand’s Weekly CineGrand series– a series of the best of the recent films, from both the Hollywood studios and independents, all playing Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm as well as a closed-captioned screening on Wednesday afternoons on the Coastal Eye Care Screen at The Grand in Ellsworth- continues its new Spring season on Tuesday, March 13th and Wednesday March 14th with one of this year’s Best Picture Oscar nominees- “Dunkirk.” Acclaimed director Christopher Nolan (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight”) directs this World War II thriller about the evacuation of Allied troops from the French city of Dunkirk before Nazi forces can take hold. Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance co-star along with Cillian Murphy and Harry Styles. (2017. UK 1 hr, 46 min. Directed by Christopher Nolan. PG-13.)
