2016-harvest-festivalFood – Beer – Music – Scarecrows… The Blue Hill Peninsula Harvest Festival on October 15th!

Join friends and neighbors for the Peninsula Harvest Festival on October 15th from 11am-3pm. The festival, at Mainescape Garden Shop on South Street in Blue Hill, is free and open to the public.

Local food vendors, craft beer & coffee, area artisans, live music, kid’s activities, scarecrow contest, and the kickoff to the Winter Farmers Market- come celebrate all our fabulous peninsula has to offer!

New this year will be a kid’s activity area, hosted by Blue Hill Heritage Trust. Kids of all ages can enjoy fun fall themed activities, including a story trail!

For more information on the scarecrow contest, please contact Althea Paine at Mainescape. Scarecrow contest entries can be delivered to Mainescape between Friday, October 7th and Friday, October 14th. Voting will close at the end of the festival on the 15th and cash prizes from the Christopher Group will be awarded for Scariest, Funniest, and People’s Choice.

Admission is free and all are invited! It is our way of saying “Thank You!” to the community that supports our local economy year round.

Any vendors interested in participating should contact Althea at Mainescape by 10/8. (This event is organized by Mainescape Garden Shop and Blue Hill Heritage Trust)
