Burnt Cove Benefit Series Kick off. Some of Downeast Maine’s finest folk musicians are holding a series of concerts this spring and
summer raising funds for local nonprofit organizations doing vital work boosting
community health and resilience.
A different nonprofit will be focused on the first Thursday of each month from June-September:
6/4: Island Angels Benefit : Featuring songwriters:Amy Love, Tim Seeley, Basha Wyeth, BAMU String Band
July 2, supporting Healthy Island Project – a contra dance called by the lauded trad musician and dance leader
Molly Gawler with music by BAMU (and Molly).
August 6, supporting Hospice Volunteers of Hancock – the Rugosa Rose trio with songwriters Bob Litman and
Andy Revkin.
September 3, supporting H.O.M.E. Inc.
– Birds on a Wire ensemble with songwriters Carl Karush and Geoff Warner.
