7:00 am - 7:00 pm
The Blue Hill Co-op Cafe
4 Ellsworth Rd, Blue Hill

The Lexicon of Sustainability TM project Illuminates sustainable agriculture and supports the conversation surrounding how people eat, what they buy, and where their responsibility begins for creating a healthier, safer food system. The project’s founders, Douglas Gayeton and Laura Howard-Gayeton, have crisscrossed the USA to identity the language of sustainability from its foremost practitioners in food and farming.

The Blue Hill Co-op and its patrons are committed to our belief in the importance of healthful, honest food options. We strive to support our economy by sourcing locally, and by providing education on food, environmental and social issues.

The Blue Hill Co-op, in partnership with Maine Farmland Trust, presents the LEXICON TM project. Maine Farmland Trust is a statewide nonprofit working to protect farmland, support farmers, and advance the future of farming. It is our hope that this exhibit inspires you to explore the origins of your food and join in the ever important conversation about food systems.
