Anne and Lin Parker will be the featured performers at Dolly’s Coffeehouse on July 5th at First Congregational Church of Blue Hill. Anne (on dulcimer) and Lin (on guitar) have been hammering and strumming together for over 40 years. They enjoy playing jigs, rags, waltzes, marches, reels, airs, lullabies, hymns, and carols. Thanks to Zoom, Anne enjoys studying and jamming in the wider hammered dulcimer community across the country. Lin enjoys traditional and bluegrass flatpicking along with other pickers and players. The Parkers are especially looking forward to making music for the Dolly Fisher Emergency Fund.100 strings….”We tune because we care.”

The first hour will be open mic, where anyone is welcome to perform: music, mime, poetry, dance, etc. Performers are asked to arrive a few minutes early to sign up. There will be a brief intermission with refreshments, followed by Anne and Lin.

The Dolly Fisher Emergency Fund, founded in 2008, provides emergency fuel, food, clothing, and utility help for households on the Blue Hill Peninsula. Held downstairs in Fisher Hall, admission is by free will offering. FMI: contact 374-2891.
