The Jonathan Fisher House of Blue Hill will hold its annual Antiques Show for the general public at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 21st from 9 A.M. until 2 P.M. Back after last year’s hiatus, this popular fundraiser is an old-fashioned country outdoor show, featuring 30 antiques dealers from around Maine and northern New England with specialties for every taste, from early American to mid-century modern, including art and decorative objects. General Admission is $8.00, or Early Buyer’s Admission is $15 to enter at 8 A.M. (not before please, as the dealers will be setting up).
All proceeds benefit the Jonathan Fisher House, a historic house museum in Blue Hill. Fisher’s famed collection of folk art, surveying instruments, woodworking tools, furniture, and farming implements that he designed and personally made are housed at the homestead located at 44 Mines Road, (U.S. 15 S), open throughout the summer on Thursdays & Saturday from 1:00-4:00 P.M. For more information, call the Fisher House at 374-2459.
