2022 Area Guide Cover Art Contest

This area is well known for being a mecca for creative types. Artists, authors, musicians, comedians, actors, poets, chefs, and more. So, it should come as no surprise that we have some amazing talented youth on this peninsula as well! Below, we are very pleased to share winner, and all submissions for our 2022 Area Guide Cover Art Contest. Picking just one for the cover and to represent our region is never easy, however, with the Blue Hill Falls Bridge scheduled to be dismantled beginning this year, this seemed like a great way to honor all it has meant to our community since 1926.  All works were done by area youth and were their interpretations of the beautiful landscape we are so lucky to call home.

And The Winner Is…

Blue Hill Falls Bridge
By Amelia Watters,
age 12,
of Brooklin
“I was asked to create a drawing somewhere on the peninsula, I immediately thought of the Blue Hill Falls Bridge, because the bridge is being torn down. I decided to paint the bridge to commemorate it, as it is something that almost everyone who has lived on the peninsula has been on or seen.
