DESCRIPTION:Young Artists’ Intensive\n\nMonday - Wednesday\, (Jan. 20\, 2
 1\, 22)\, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM\n\nDive into three exciting days of artistic
  exploration in this immersive workshop for children\, best suited for gra
 des 4 - 8 and up! Perfect for young artists with a passion for creativity 
 and a willingness to focus\; this program combines hands-on learning with 
 the freedom to develop individual projects.\n\nEach day begins with mornin
 g instruction led by ArtWaves founder Liz Cutler\, introducing key techniq
 ues and creative approaches. Following lunch\, students will dive into lon
 ger afternoon sessions to complete their morning projects.\n\nAll material
 s are included. Please pack a lunch and snacks. No before- or after-care o
 r transportation is provided.\n\nDay 1: Mosaic\nStudents will explore the 
 timeless art of mosaic-making by creating unique compositions with colorfu
 l tiles\, glass\, and found objects. The day begins with an introduction t
 o design principles\, safe tile-cutting techniques\, and adhesive applicat
 ion. In the afternoon\, students will refine and grout their projects\, le
 aving with a completed\, textured masterpiece. All materials\, including t
 iles\, adhesives\, and grouting tools\, are provided.\nDay 2: Fiber Arts (
 Felting and Weaving)\nThis day focuses on tactile creativity through fiber
  arts. Students will learn needle-felting techniques to sculpt wool into s
 mall decorative pieces and explore loom weaving to create textured designs
  with yarn and roving. The morning session includes demonstrations of both
  techniques\, while the afternoon allows for extended project time. Materi
 als include high-quality wool\, yarn\, looms\, and felting needles.\nDay 3
 : Printing (Monoprinting and Gelli Block)\nStudents will dive into the dyn
 amic world of printmaking\, starting with monoprinting on gel plates. They
  will experiment with layering ink\, stencils\, and textures to create vib
 rant\, one-of-a-kind prints. Afternoon sessions focus on refining their te
 chniques to produce multiple prints to take home. Materials include printi
 ng plates\, inks\, paper\, and tools for creating layered designs.
