5 Parker Point Rd, Blue Hill, ME, 04614

The public is invited to bring a child, a grandparent, relative, or friend to “Tai Chi for Families” at the Blue Hill Public Library on Wednesday April 17th at 2:00 PM. Participants will have fun and learn about the many health benefits of doing tai chi. They will practice gentle, easy-to-learn, mind-body exercises that simultaneously promote relaxation and energy, and are great for all ages.

The session will be led by Mia Kanazawa, who is a certified tai Chi for Health Institute instructor. She has been teaching around the peninsula for several years at elementary and high schools, nursing homes and libraries. She loves sharing tai chi with everyone.

Healthy snacks will be provided by the Brooksville Elementary School Agricultural Arts Class. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about the National Library of Medicine’s free online health resources, which offer ad-free, peer-reviewed scientific studies, and information on a wide range of health and wellness topics. For more information, call the library at 374-5515.
