Blue Hill Public Library
5 Parker Point Rd, Blue Hill, ME, 04614

New members are invited to the Blue Hill Public Library’s monthly book group, “Readings on Race,” on Saturday, November 10th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The group will be discussing readings that can be obtained through the library, and issues brought up in the soon-to-be released film Dawnland, about the Maine Wabanaki Truth & Reconciliation Commission. Participants don’t need to have attended the recent screening of the film to come to the discussion.

Surry resident Kate Mrozicki facilitates the group. Kate is a farmer who believes in the power of difficult conversations to change our reality. She got to practice these conversations during years of working for The Food Project in Boston and now, while raising small children in Surry. This event is free and everyone is welcome. For more information on the readings, call the library at 374-5515 or email info@bhpl.net.
