DESCRIPTION:New members are invited to the third meeting of the Blue Hill P
 ublic Library’s monthly (fall to spring) book group\, “Readings on Rac
 e”\, on Saturday May 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The group will be discus
 sing the book So You Want to Talk about Race\, by Ijeoma Oluo. Copies of t
 he book will be available to check out in advance at the library.\n\nIn th
 is breakout book\, Ijeoma Oluo explores the complex reality of today's rac
 ial landscape--from white privilege and police brutality to systemic discr
 imination and the Black Lives Matter movement--offering straightforward cl
 arity that readers need in order to contribute to the dismantling of the r
 acial divide.\n\nSurry resident Kate Mrozicki will facilitate the group. K
 ate is a farmer who believes in the power of difficult conversations to ch
 ange our reality. She got to practice those conversations during years of 
 working for The Food Project in Boston and now raising small children in S
