SUMMARY:Plein Air Festival
DESCRIPTION:Castine’s three-day Plein Air Festival will take place from J
 uly 21-23. Juried artists from New England and Canada generally paint over
  200 works of art. The festival includes a reception\, awards and an oppor
 tunity for the public to view and purchase work created during the event. 
 Artists paint a variety of subject matter\, throughout Castine\, over the 
 three days. Visitors enjoy touring through the community and catching a gl
 impse of the artists in action. The public Art Sale\, which is free and op
 en to the public\, will take place on Saturday from 4 to 6 pm in the Alfon
 d Student Center at the Maine Maritime Academy.
